Coronavirus in Pune: Revised list of COVID-19 micro-containment zones as given by Pune Municipal Corporation

Pune: As per the update by Pune Municipal Corporation Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, the COVID-19 case count in Pune rose by 1,617 in the last 24 hours to 1,02,076 on Saturday.

With 30 people succumbing to the infection, the death toll went up to 2,431, he said.

A total of 1,830 patients were discharged, taking the number of active cases to 15,730 during the day, he said.

As per the update, 83,915 people have recovered/discharged from the disease as of now.

With 6,723 tests conducted on Saturday, a total number of tests conducted reached to 4,77,478, Mohol said.

The civic body also issued a revised list of containment zones in Pune and maximum number of containment zones are now in Kothrud and Aundh-Baner area.

Here is the number of containment zones in each ward office area:

Kasba Vishrambaug area - 4

Bhavani Peth ward office - 2

Dhole Patil ward office - 2

Dhankawadi/Sahakarnagar - 8

Bibwewadi ward office-5

Yerawada - 2

Wanowrie/Ramtekadi- 2

Shivajinagar/Ghole road- 3

Ahmednagar Road/Wadgaonsheri -7

Sinhgad ward office- 3

Hadapsar/Mundhwa- 11

Kondhwa-Yeolewadi - 3

Warje-Karvenagar-4

Kothrud/Bavdhan- 9

Aundh-Baner -9

Here is the full revised list of COVID-19 micro-containment zones as given by Pune Municipal Corporation:

Meanwhile, Pune district reported 3,447 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking its COVID-19 count to 1,84,516, a health official said on Friday.

The death toll reached 4,416 with 83 new fatalities, he added.

"Of the 3,447 cases, 1,617 are in Pune Municipal Corporation limits, which now has 1,02,076 patients. However, 1,830 patients were also discharged from the hospitals.

"With 1,005 new cases the count in Pimpri Chinchwad now stands at 53,289," he added.
