Aurangabad : A criminal case against Narayan Kuche, a ruling party legislator from the Badnapur Assembly constituency, has been registered for allegedly abusing and threatening a policeman on duty on Sunday.
The MLA is accused of abusing police constable Sagar Sathe when the latter was performing duty in the squad of traffic branch chief ACP Khushalchand Baheti and the case is registered in the Jinsi police station. The Jinsi PI, Shivaji Kamble, said that ACP Baheti was busy in meeting with his friend so had given his mobile phone to Sathe. MLA Kuche dialed Baheti’s mobile number and obviously the call was received by the constable who informed the caller that ACP Baheti is busy in the meeting and has given the handset to him. The constable’s reply infuriated the caller and he used offensive language against ACP Baheti.
Kuche dialed the same mobile number from another phone and the call was received again by Sathe. MLA Kuche in his second call used derogatory language not only against ACP Baheti but also the receiver and threatened him of dire consequences. Sathe apprised ACP Baheti of the matter when he came out of his friend’s house after the meeting was over and obeying ACP’s direction Sathe approached the Jinsi police station and lodged a complaint. A case of non-cognizable offence has been registered against the MLA.
