Mumbai: A local family court has directed singer Asha Bhosale’s son Hemant to pay a monthly interim maintenance of Rs 40,000 to his estranged wife while taking into consideration his “NRI lifestyle”. “Hemant shall pay monthly maintenance of Rs 40,000 to the petitioner (62-year-old retired air hostess) from March 20, 2012 till disposal of the petition,” the family court judge S A Morey said in the recent order. Hemant’s wife had approached the court saying that the couple got separated in 2002-03.
