Mumbai : After the Sunil Paraskar case, another Mumbai-based model Moon Das has filed a molestation complaint against Siddharth Bhardwaj, a video jockey (VJ) on a popular music channel after he molested and insulted her at Lokhandwala.
“The complainant and the accused were both travelling in their respective cars when her car bumped into his from behind. Both of them had an altercation at the spot where the accused allegedly abused and mishandled her,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police, Samadhan Dhanedar.
Das filed the case at Oshiwara police station where Bhardwaj was charged under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation), and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the IPC.
According to the FIR, after their respective cars dashed, Das tried to placate Bhardwaj who suddenly got angry and began threatening and abusing her. The incident which happened post midnight at 12.45 am on Sunday, has left the 29-year-old model-cum-actress scared and horrified.
It can be recalled that a few years ago, the actresses’ ex-boyfriend Avinash Patnaik had allegedly shot Moon’s mother and uncle, before killing himself. Bhardwaj was a runner-up in the reality show Big Boss Season 5 and the winner of Splitsvilla Season 2 on MTV where he is a VJ now.
