Mumbai : Mumbai police booked Bbollywood actor Alok Nath’s son in drunk and driving case on Monday night when the accused Shivang was accompanied by his three friends including two women in the car and was returning home from a birthday party.
The police then chased him and intercepted his car on the SV Road in suburban Bandra and brought him to Santacruz police station.
“Last night (Monday night) while Bandra Traffic Division was conducting action against drunken driving, one car did not stop. It was chased and intercepted on SV Road and brought to Santacruz Police station. One person (son of actor) was on the wheel along with two females and one male person,” said Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Ashok Dudhe.
Since Shivang was allegedly in an inebriated state and not having the driving license, his female friends tried to argue with the police that they were driving the vehicle.
“The females argued that they were driving. Concern person was charged for drunken driving, and not possessing MDL and disobeying police orders vide LAC No 4715, 4716 4717. The vehicle has been impounded by Bandra Traffic Division. Deposit of Rs.2600 is collected from him. And asked him to remain present in the court for further proceedings,” said Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Ashok Dudhe.
