Ujjain: The civic body will throw a feast and organise a felicitation programme for sanitation workers on Friday as the city secured 4 th place in nationwide cleanliness survey and first rank in the cities having population over 5 lakh denizens.
Earlier sanitation workers’ leader Ramchandra Korat has opposed the progamme alleging that civic body officials deducted the salaries of 1400 sanitation workers for their minor mistakes; hence the workers are boycotting the felicitation programme.
Later the sanitation workers were persuaded by municipal commissioner and assured them that deduction will be made from their salaries. Following this sanitation workers’ leader Ramchandra Korat told that all the workers will participate in programme organised at Grand Hotel.
