Ujjain: Unidentified miscreant stole a bag containing Rs 20,000 cash and jewellery worth 3 lakh from a marriage function in Meghdoot Garden, Indore Road on Sunday. Nanakheda police reviewed the CCTV footage and detected a child suspect wearing new clothes wandering around the bag.
The police suspect that the child took away the bag from marriage function. Police said that incidence of thefts has increased with the start of marriage season. The cops have already issued precautionary guidelines for installation of CCTV cameras in marriage gardens of the city. Case of theft was registered under Section 379 of the IPC.
