KHANDWA (MADHYA PRADESH): On the day-1 of the ‘Covid Vaccination Maha Abhiyan’ vaccination will be held at 16 centres in the urban areas and 150 centers in the rural areas in Khandwa on June 21.
District immunization officer Dr Anil Tantwar said that the campaign, will run till June 30, with the help of district administration, social organisations, voluntary organisations, public representatives and other departments.
He appealed to the locals to not to pay heed to any rumour and get themselves vaccinated. This vaccine is absolutely safe and has no side effects, he added.
He said that even after vaccination, it is necessary to follow corona norms like: wearing a mask, keep distance of two yards and wash hands frequently with sanitiser or soap.
The abhiyan will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister on June 21. A meeting of Anganwadi workers and BLOs was organised at Gaurikunj meeting hall on Saturday, make the campaign a success.
Additional Collector Rajesh Jain, SDM Mamta Khede, Tehsildar Agasya, CMHO Dr DS Chauhan, Dr SK Sethia, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Savita Pradhan Gaur were present.
Jain instructed the BLOs and Anganwadi workers to visit homes of all the persons in the voter list and get information about vaccination and motivate the ones- who have not been vaccinated- to go for vaccination.
A meeting was also organised for the locals and municipal councilors of Khandwa city to get their cooperation for the campaign.
