In an inspiring incident, traffic constable Ranjeet Singh, known for his sleek dance moves while managing traffic in the city, proved a real life hero after helping two girls who met with an accident on Wednesday morning. One of the girls fell unconscious in the accident when Ranjeet was on his duty at High Court trisection. He took the injured girls to the hospital immediately where they received timely treatment.
The incident took place around 10.15am. Girl identified as Dimple Wadhwani (18) and her cousin Priyanshi Wadhwani, both residents of LIG Colony, met with an accident after losing control on the scooter. Priyanshi was riding scooter while Dimple was pillion rider.
They were heading towards High Court trisection from Regal Trisection when Priyanshi lost control on the vehicle. Both fell on the road. Dimple was critically injured and fell unconscious while Priyanshi started crying for help. Ranjeet, who spotted the incident, reached there and immediately rushed the girls to MY Hospital in an auto rickshaw.
Due to timely treatment by the doctors, Dimple regained consciousness within an hour. After the treatment, the girls were discharged from the hospital. Constable Ranjeet stayed in the hospital until the treatment lasted. On the basis of details given by Priyanshi, Ranjeet contacted their relatives in the city. Relatives of Dimple reached the hospital and they expressed their gratitude for Ranjeet. Girls were also happy and they thanked to him as well.
Ranjeet told the Free Press that the girl fell on the road and they got dragged about 20 feet after falling from twowheeler. One of the girls fell unconscious. Ranjeet said that no one stopped to help the injured girls. He finally requested a girl who stopped there and later he along with that girl took the injured to the hospital. Tukoganj police station staff has registered a case and started an investigation.
