Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed that the Trinamool Congress is ready to hold bypolls in seven assembly seats and then the civic polls.
Talking to the media, Mamata said that since the situation in West Bengal is conducive for holding polls the Election commission should allow the bypolls in seven Assembly seats in the state.
Meanwhile, speaking about the promise mentioned in Trinamool Congress’ election manifesto, the TMC supremo said that from June 30 she will start giving student credit cards from class 10 that would give loan up to 10 lakh rupees to the students.
“Those who are residing in West Bengal for more than 10 years are eligible to get student credit cards. People up to 40 years of age can avail this loan and after getting a job within 15 years they can repay the loan. The TMC government will be the guarantor,” mentioned the West Bengal Chief Minister.
Speaking about vaccination, the TMC supremo said that she had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take immediate action as people who have taken Covaxin jabs are not allowed to go to study or work outside India.
