In recent days, many had been baffled by the delay in releasing admit cards. Now, on Monday, an official said that the UGC-NET exam has been postponed. It will now be conducted from September 24 onward.

As per data available on the government website, the date had earlier been changed to 16th to 18th September and 21st to 25th September.

The new date however is not visible on the UGC-NET website or on the NTA's official handles.

According to reports, the date has been shifted in view of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)'s ICAR AIEEA-UG/PG and AICE JRF/SRF (Ph.D) exams that will be taking place on September 16, 17, 22, 23.

Since there are common candidates giving the two exams, the dates have been adjusted accordingly. The timetable and shift details have not yet been made available.

Details will be uploaded to the official exam site, ugcnet.nta.nic.in/webinfo/public/home.aspx.
