Srinagar:  Two separatist guerrillas were killed during a search operation near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, police said Friday.

A police officer said a search operation was being conducted in Keran area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district for the past two days.

“Holed up militants opened fire at the search parties of the army late Thursday which were returning. A gunfight was triggered and bodies of two militants were recovered,” the officer said.
