“We have always supported and worked for social reforms and donating body for medical research and studies is one more step in this direction. It is quite satisfying,” said grandfather of the family Ratnaram Seju, While Trilokaram Seju who is a lecturer also said that this was a unanimous decision of the family as it will be a great service to the humanity.

The Hospital Superintendent Dr. BL Mansuria said that it is commendable that 12 members of a family have pledged to donate their bodies, This will help the doctors and students to carry out research in medical science.

“To my knowledge, this is for the first time that this number of people of a family have decided to donate their body,” said the Superintendent.

According to Dr. BL Mansuria, despite a remote district with desert, Barmer is well aware of the importance of body donation as since it's inception in 2019, about 100 people have come forward to pledge for body donation.
