Buxar (Bihar), February 17: A surprising incident took place at Buxar Railway Station in Bihar on Sunday (February 16) when Danapur DRM Jayant Kant Chaudhary was inspecting the station. During his visit, he questioned some women about travelling without tickets. Their response left him shocked. Their witty reply involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media.

When asked why they were traveling without tickets, the women confidently replied, "Modi Ji said we can travel for free." Hearing this, DRM Jayant Kant Chaudhary was taken aback. He was seen laughing over the women's reply. However, he did not question them further and left the spot.

Reality Behind the Claim

Upon further conversation, it was revealed that these women were travelling for Maha Kumbh Snan (a holy dip) to Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj without purchasing tickets. The DRM calmly clarified that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had not made any such announcement and that travelling without a ticket is against railway laws.

During the exchange, DRM and other railway officials couldn't help but smile at the unexpected response. However, they handled the situation lightly and moved on with their inspection.

Details About Viral Video

Someone at the station recorded this interesting conversation on their mobile phone. The video has now gone viral on social media. The internet uses found both the women's response and the DRM's reaction quite amusing.

DRM's Message to the Public

This incident highlights how misinformation can sometimes lead people to misunderstand rules and policies. The DRM's calm and patient approach turned this into a learning moment, reinforcing the importance of proper ticketing and travel regulations.

Stricter Monitoring for Railway Security

During his visit, DRM instructed RPF and other railway staff to remain on high alert amid overcrowding at stations during Maha Kumbh 2025. When asked about security personnel, RPF officials informed him that only three officers were present. DRM urged tighter security to prevent accidents and unauthorised travel.

To improve passenger safety, he also instructed railway staff to:

Make regular announcements warning passengers against overcrowding.

Ensure reserved ticket holders do not face inconvenience due to overcrowding.

Allow empty rakes (MT) to carry passengers, ensuring better utilisation of available trains.

Railway staff mentioned that they often lack clear information on empty train movements, which leads to passengers being denied entry. DRM assured them that he would address this issue and find a solution.
