New Delhi : Most of the government websites, including those of President, ministries, PIB, Supreme Court and Election Commission crashed on Wednesday afternoon with the hackers jamming the servers of the state-owned National Informatics Centre that hosts most sites of the Centre and the State Governments.

Engineers of NIC were able to shift the website of the Prime Minister to an emergency server and make it operational after remaining inaccessible for nearly four hours.

The hackers have not left their footprints on the websites. “Invalid Input, please go back and try again,” is the response if one tries to connect any of the

websites. The problem is with the NIC servers

and that is being

rectified, sources said.
