The results of class 10 matric examination was released on Bihar State Education Board (BSEB) on Saturday, April 6. According to the board, out of the 18 toppers, 17 are from the same school, Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui. Sawan Raj Bharti secured the first place with 486 marks this year.
As questions started raising regarding the toppers list, Principal Rajiv Ranjan said, “As the school is a government entity, they have no vested interests behind the results. The school is open for any kind of investigation.”
Talking about the news portals sharing fake news about the exam, an official said mentioned that the board will take strong actions against news portals who has circulated fake news about the declaration of results. “The board has identified fake websites which includes lots of leading Hindi and regional media portals including English news websites. We are opening up all options including the legal steps against the fake websites and the scribes concerned.”
