`5Lakh ex-gratia for kin of avalanche, shooting of stones victims

Jammu: The J&K govt on Satur­day announced ex-gratia of Rs5 lakh each to the kin of the 13 per­sons who lost their lives in the recent incidents of avalanche and shooting stones. Governor Satya Pal Malik “The govt has, on the directions of the Governor Satya Pal Malik, announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of those killed in avalanches and shooting of stones across state,” an official said. Meanwhile, as many as 538 people, including 319 GATE aspirants, were airlifted in separate sorties by the Air Force stranded on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.
