Akanksha Chamola has confirmed that she and Gaurav Khanna are heading for a divorce. However, many social media users continued to question the separation after noticing that her official Instagram handle still carries Gaurav's surname.
Amid the ongoing buzz, Akanksha shared an Instagram Story, tagging Meta, Meta India and Instagram, seeking urgent assistance to change her username. In the post, she said she had been unable to update it due to verification-related restrictions despite multiple attempts. However, it remains unclear whether she is trying to change her Instagram handle to reflect her maiden name or choose a different username altogether. It is also not confirmed whether the request is linked to her ongoing divorce.
Akanksha wrote on her Instagram Story, "@meta @metaindia @instagram seeking urgent assistance for username change." The actress further shared, "Due to the current verification-related restrictions, we have been unable to change the username despite multiple attempts." Towards the end, Akanksha requested Meta's team to review the issue and suggest a possible solution. She wrote, "We would appreciate it if your team could review the issue and advise on possible resolution."
Ever since Akanksha opened up about her divorce on Lock Upp 2, many have questioned whether the actress was allegedly using it for TRPs. After she came out of Lock Upp 2, she was asked the same question by the media. Responding to it, she said, "Mujhe nahi lagta koi bhi ladki itne bade platform mein ja ke TRP ke liye bolegi ki main apne pati se divorce le rahi hoon." The actress further confirmed that she and Gaurav's legal team are currently working on the divorce papers. She also revealed that she had been in touch with the legal team both before entering Lock Upp 2 and after returning from the show. Akanksha added that the couple now only have to sign the papers to officially finalise their divorce.
