Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer The Vvaan has undergone multiple changes when it comes to the release date. The film is now slated to hit the big screens on September 25, 2026, but the recent reports of The Vvaan being re-shot, re-edited, and the direction team being changed made everyone wonder whether the movie will be able to release as per the schedule.
But, on Saturday, the makers took to social media to confirm that the movie will be released on September 25. Ektaa Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures tweeted, "Stories have travelled from voices to pages, stages to screens… Yet one unforgettable story is about to be awakened 🌳 #THEVVAAN in cinemas on 25th September, 2026 (sic)."
The Vvaan being re-shot & re-edited?
According to a report in Filmfare, the film is undergoing changes, and it will be reshot and re-edited. Not just that, sources told the entertainment portal that the original direction team was replaced.
Deepak Mishra, known for directing TVF shows like Permanent Roommates and Panchayat, has directed The Vvaan. However, sources told the portal that Mishra, along with the TVF team, has been removed, and Niraj Kothari and Sahir Raza are now managing the edit under the direction of Ektaa.
Additional days for reshoot
Reportedly, Sidharth has given 17 additional days for reshoot, and he is on reworking the climax and the film's action sequences.
Till now, the makers have not shared any statement about the report of the film being reshot and re-edited or the direction team being removed. So, for now, the movie is on track, releasing on September 25.
Earlier reports of creative differences
Last year in June, there were reports that there were creative differences between Sidharth and Deepak, and the latter had left the project. However, the director had later denied the reports.
The Vvaan also stars Maniesh Paul in the pivotal role.
