Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, who never shies away from putting her thoughts across on social media, came down heavily on an X user on Wednesday after he shared a rather obscene post about actress Mrunal Thakur. Chinmayi criticised the mindset of the people who indulge in content and hoped that they "ceased to exist".

As soon as Chinmayi came across the obscene video, she decided to shame the user and commented under it, "Some of you should have never been birthed by your mother. I hope the likes of you cease to exist (sic)."

As the singer's comment blew up, the post also caught the attention of other netizens who blasted the X user for it, and within a few hours, the user deleted the post.

A few netizens also expressed their shock and disgust over the post against Mrunal, and Chinmayi replied that it was all about 'culture'. "And expectedly people have a problem with this comment and not the original post. Absolute degenerates (sic)," an X user commented under Chinmayi's tweet, to which she replied, "It's how their culture is (sic)."

This is not the first time that the singer has shut down a troll on social media. A few months ago, a user abused Chinmayi on social media and called her a prostitute, and she gave him a befitting reply.

"The thing is - If you had had an education only one sperm and egg can make a human... Don't worry about my birth and even if I were a prostitute even my shadow wouldn’t want to be touched by the likes of you or many like you ranting away. LOL. Abusers calling themselves Mens Rights Activists. Joke (sic)," she wrote.

Chinmayi is quite active on social media and she often makes headlines for her views on social issues, especially related to women. She was also one of the biggest names to have spoken up during the #MeToo movement in India, and had named several prominent figures in both Bollywood and Tamil film and music industry, accusing them of exploiting young and aspiring women under the garb of giving them work.

For those unversed, Chinmayi has several hit Bollywood songs to her credit, including Mast Magan, Titli, Tere Bina, Mayya Mayya, Zehnaseeb, to name a few.
