Telugu film personalities Rana Daggubati, Venkatesh Daggubati, and their family have found themselves in legal trouble after being booked in connection with the demolition of Deccan Kitchen Hotel, situated in Film Nagar, Hyderabad. In November 2022, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) had partially demolished the Deccan Kitchen Hotel.
As per ANI, "Film Nagar Police of Hyderabad registered a case against prominent Telugu film personalities, including Venkatesh Daggubati, Rana Daggubati, his brother Abhiram Daggubati, and their father Suresh Babu Daggubati in connection with the demolition of Deccan Kitchen Hotel, located in Film Nagar."

The FIR has named Daggubati Suresh as accused number one (A1), his brother Daggubati Venkatesh as A2, Suresh’s son and actor Daggubati Rana as A3, and Rana’s brother and producer Daggubati Abhiram as A4.
In connection with the demolition of Deccan Kitchen Hotel, a case has been registered under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 448, 452, 458, and 120B, for trespass and criminal conspiracy. Nanda Kumar, who issued the court order, has accused Venkatesh Daggubati and his family members of being involved in the illegal demolition of Deccan Kitchen Hotel.

Reportedly, it was stated that the property where Deccan Kitchen Hotel was located was owned by the Daggubati family but leased to a man named Nanda Kumar, a businessman and a suspect in a separate MLA purchase scandal.
Earlier, the GHMC had ordered the demolition of Deccan Kitchen Hotel, but the process was halted due to a legal dispute. According to the complainant, the accused caused damages exceeding Rs 20 crores while the properties were under court custody in 2022.
Meanwhile, Rana Daggubati has yet to share an official statement regarding the legal matter surrounding the demolition of Deccan Kitchen Hotel.
