Following the grand finale, fans were quick to recall Shivangi's bold statement made during a heated argument with Shreya inside the jail. "Mera naam badalwa dena agar tum ye game jeet gayi to," Shivangi had told Shreya. Now, social media users, along with actress Arshi Khan, are wondering what Shivangi's "new name" will be.
Soon after the winner was announced, Arshi took to her social media handle and wrote, "Shivangi ne bola tha agar Shreya win ki to naam badal dena ab kya naam hai Shivangi ka?"
Shreya, too, appeared to be having fun with the viral moment. During the celebrations after her victory, a video surfaced in which she and her friends were watching the clip of Shivangi making the now-viral remark. Her friends then began asking, "Naam bata, kya naam rakhna hai?" After much insistence, Shreya jokingly replied, "Backstabber Joshi."
While many fans congratulated Shreya on her victory in the comments section, others urged her to remain humble. One user wrote, "Winner ko yeh sub karna shoba nahi deta, humble raho khus raho." Meanwhile, several others continued the joke, asking, "Woh puchna tha ki Shivangi ab apna Naya naam kya rakhegi?" Another commented, "Ab Shivangi ap naam badal doo, Shreya jeet gayi hai."
After Shreya was declared the winner of Lock Upp 2 and Shivangi finished as the runner-up, Arshi Khan also took a dig at the latter on social media. Drawing a comparison with Bigg Boss 11, where Hina Khan, who played Shivangi's on-screen mother in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, lost the trophy to Shilpa Shinde, Arshi wrote, "Maa bhi haar gayi thi, beti bhi haar gayi." She then added, "Congratulations Shreya and Shilpa."
The winner of Lock Upp 2 was announced on August 5, 2026, with Shreya Kalra lifting the winner's trophy and taking home the Rs 1 crore cash prize.
