2014 release Queen, starring Kangana Ranaut, is undoubtedly one of the best slice-of-life films we have seen in Indian cinema. The Vikas Bahl directorial was a super hit at the box office, and Kangana had won a National Award for her performance in it. There have been reports of a sequel being planned, and now, according to a report in Mid-Day, Queen 2 is all set to go on the floors by the end of April.

A source told the tabloid that this time Rani's character will be smart, strong, and quirky. "But a plot point will send her on the road of self-discovery. It will show how she conquers life through her individuality, self-realisation, and courage," added the source. In part one, Rani went to Paris and Amsterdam, but reportedly in part 2, she will explore cities in India.

The source also revealed that the shooting will kickstart in a studio in Mumbai, where a set reflecting a North Indian city will be built. The source further added, "After the Mumbai leg, they will move to other metro cities. The film will be completed in a start-to-finish schedule of three months.”

Kangana Ranaut Movies

Kangana was last seen in the 2025 release Emergency. After that, she has been busy with her political career, but her fans have been waiting to watch her on the big screen.

Apart from Queen 2, Kangana has a couple of films lined up. She will be seen in Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, which is also produced by her. The movie revolves around the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, focusing on the staff of Cama Hospital.

The actress also has a film titled Circle alongside R Madhavan, which is directed by AL Vijay. Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata and Circle are both slated to release this year. However, the official release date has not been announced yet.
