Actress-politician Kangana Ranaut is all set to make a guest appearance on the singing show Indian Idol 15 to promote her upcoming film Emergency, which is slated for release on January 17, 2025. A new promo shows Kangana requesting judge Shreya Ghoshal to sing Soniyo from her 2009 film Raaz: The Mystery Continues, which starred her ex-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman and Emraan Hashmi in the lead.
The promo begins with Kangana is heard saying, "In my film, Sonu (Nigam) sir had sung a song titled Soniyo. Shreya ma'am sang that song for me. If Shreya ma'am can sing a few lines from the song…" Shreya replied, "Yes absolutely. Your request is my command," and proceeds to sing the hit song along with contestant Biswarup Banerjee.

The actress was seen humming along with Shreya and becoming a bit emotional as she was moved by the performance. The heartfelt moment was captioned on Instagram: "Kangana ki request par Biswarup aur Shreya ma’am gaayenge Soniyo (On Kangana’s request, Biswarup and Shreya will sing Soniyo)."
About Kangana Ranaut, Adhyayan Suman's relationship
The duo dated each other for few months in 2008-2009. However, their relationship ended in an ugly breakup, with Adhyayan later made several allegations against Kangana and stated that she was an abusive girlfriend who made his life "hellish" for the one year they dated.
In an old interview with DNA, Adhyayan claimed that Kangana verbally abused him and slapped him so hard that he ended up crying.
About Emergency
Kangana will be playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman and Satish Kaushik.
