Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav recently made headlines after he claimed to have received an "extortion call" from an unknown number with a demand of Rs 1 crore. The social media personality lodged a formal complaint with the Gurugram police later, and the cops have now arrested a man, who allegedly made the call.
According to ANI, the Gurugram Police arrested a man from Gujarat in connection to the extortion call.
ACP Varun Dahiya, Crime Branch, said that the Gurugram Police nabbed one Shakir Makrani with the help of Gujarat Police. The accused is a resident of Vadnagar.
He was allegedly influenced by Elvish and he made the extortion call to earn money.
Elvish is yet to release an official statement on the entire ordeal.
