The extremely versatile singer Sonu Nigam, who was in the news lately because of his knee surgery, is yet again in the news. This time round, he has shown what mettle is he made up of.

Recently, Sonu recorded a song for the Emraan Hashmi starrer Azhar. This was not ‘yet another recording’ for the singer. The reason being, after reporting to a suburban recording studio on crutches, he recorded the track sitting on a sofa!

Speaking about the track, Azhar‘s music director Amaal Malik just could not stop praising the singer. Mallik said that Sonu’s commitment was something that had to be seen in order to be believed. He added that Sonu Nigam recorded the track sitting on a sofa and that too in 20 minutes flat!

Directed by Tony D’Souza, Azhar features Emraan Hashmi, Nargis Fakhri and Prachi Desai along with others like Lara Dutta and Gautam Gulati. The film is slated to release on May 13, 2016.
