Reliance AGM 2021: Saudi Aramco's representative on Reliance board; RIL-Aramco deal will finalise soon, says Mukesh Ambani

Reliance Industries (RIL), chairman, Mukesh Ambani stated Saudi Aramco will come on board as a strategic partner. These discussion were held during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Even during the pandemic, the discussion continued, he added. "I expect the partnership to be formalised in an expeditious manner."

Saudi Aramco chairman and Governor of the Kingdom's wealth fund Public Investment Fund, Yasir Al-Rumayyan, may be inducted on the board of Reliance Industries Ltd, Ambani added.

Meanwhile, Y P Triwedi will retire from the RIL board. He joined the board in 1992. After he quit the board, Yasir Al-Rumayyan will become the independent director on the board.
