Mumbai: Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) on Friday reported a consolidated net profit after tax of Rs 504.52 crore for the first quarter of financial year 2026-27, marking an 11.5 percent rise compared with Rs 452.45 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations also saw a significant jump.
Revenue Growth
The company’s consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, increased by 18.3 percent to Rs 4,225.47 crore, up from Rs 3,571.32 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. This growth was driven by a rise in sales of products.
Interim Dividend Declared
The Board of Directors approved an interim dividend of Rs 5 per equity share, representing 500 percent on equity shares with a face value of Rs 1 each. The record date for this dividend is Thursday, August 13, 2026, with payment scheduled on or before Saturday, September 5, 2026.
Expense Overview
Total expenses for the group in the first quarter stood at Rs 3,585.24 crore, an increase from Rs 3,022.60 crore reported in the year-ago quarter. Employee benefits expense rose to Rs 319.31 crore from Rs 309.01 crore in the same period last year.
Segment Performance
The India business segment reported a revenue of Rs 2,557.41 crore, while Indonesia contributed Rs 486.91 crore. The Africa (including Strength of Nature) segment recorded a revenue of Rs 1,006.13 crore for the quarter.
Director Resignation
Amisha Jain, a Non-Executive Independent Director, resigned from the company with effect from the close of business hours on August 7, 2026. Her resignation was due to increased professional commitments in other entities.
