Producing more than 70,000 commercial products, the Indian chemical industry, including the petrochemical segment, is one of the fast growing and significant sectors of Indian economy. It constitutes around 2.11 percent of the country’s GDP. In terms of value and production volume, Indian chemical industry is the third largest producer in Asia and the seventh by output in the world.
