Mumbai: Ceigall India Limited, along with Sushee Infra & Mining Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for a Rs 704.70-crore road project in Arunachal Pradesh.
The contract value excludes Goods and Services Tax. Ceigall India holds a 74 percent stake in the joint venture, while Sushee Infra & Mining owns the remaining 26 percent.
Frontier Highway construction
The project covers the construction of the Lada-Sarli section of National Highway 913, also known as the Frontier Highway. The road will be developed from kilometre 85.60 to kilometre 168.00.
The 82.4-kilometre stretch will be upgraded to an intermediate-lane road under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction model.
Under an EPC contract, the joint venture will be responsible for engineering, procuring the required materials and completing construction.
Completion period
The joint venture has been given 48 months to complete the construction work. It will also maintain the road for five years after completion.
Ceigall India informed the BSE and National Stock Exchange about the development on August 24, 2026. The company’s shares are listed under the NSE symbol “CEIGALL” and BSE scrip code 544223.
The company said the contract was awarded by a domestic government entity. It also confirmed that its promoters, promoter group and group companies have no interest in the authority that awarded the project.
The order does not fall under related-party transactions, according to the exchange filing.
Strengthening road connectivity
The project is part of the Frontier Highway network in Arunachal Pradesh. The highway is expected to improve transport links across remote and strategically important areas of the state.
Better road infrastructure can support the movement of people and goods, improve access to essential services and encourage economic activity in difficult terrain.
The latest contract strengthens Ceigall India’s presence in the road and highway construction sector. The company had previously informed the exchanges about the project developments through letters dated July 8, 2026.
