Today Mumbai is paying tribute to 26/11 martrys, but a day before eight anniversary of 26/11, on 25 November an absurd news came up. A man drove a car inside Andheri station and parked inside the station thinking it to be a road.
Rajesh Yadav aged 36, in golden colored Toyota Innova (MH-06-AF-7469), somehow managed to enter the platform and drive all the way to Platform No. 6 of the Andheri station around 1530 hrs.
The crowd directed the Innova driver towards the station’s exit, but he was apprehended by the Andheri Railway Police Force (RPF) before he could leave the premises.

According to officials the driver was sleep deprived, he was trying to park the vehicle outside the station but did not realise he had overshot the area and drove up on the ramp leading to the platform.
On the west side of the station near platform 6 some construction work is going on, the driver wanted to squeeze his car near the construction where he found a small spot, but mistankely drove up the ramp on paltform 6, which is used by CST-Andheri Harbour trains. As it was rush hour period this incident caused panic and amusement among the commuters.
Railway authorities claim that for the convenience of those in wheelchairs, they have not barricaded the slope.

The officials said that the car, Toyota Innova numbered MH-06-AF-7469, which was drove by Rajesh Yadav has been confiscated. The driver Rajesh Yadav is for company named Gammon India. He is booked under sections 154 (Endangering safety of persons travelling by railway), 145 (nuisance) and 147 (trespassing into railway territory) of the Railway Act, 1989. He will be also produced in court.
There is no CCTV camera at the spot, and hence, there is no official footage of the act.
