Jabalpur : The municipality commissioner’s decision to terminate four cleanliness workers has given a clear indication that the health department has a long list of people who do not work. And this is all bound to continue, until the corrupt workers are not suspended. The action which came from the Municipality Commissioner actually has sent strong message among the workers. But there are talks that no action has been taken against the employees against whom the complaints were made.
Out of these four workers, two are related to employee union leaders and never come for work. Similarly two other workers work at an officer’s place and take their salaries from the municipal corporation. No action is being taken against them, since they are said to be very near and dear to the Health Workers. And this is majorly the reason behind the unclean surroundings of the Agrasen ward.
It was under the pressure of the health officer, that a ward cleaner was working as a supervisor, and when this matter came into the light—the supervisor was suspended. This is also being said that the Commissioner had been misinformed about the same.
