Katni (Madhya Pradesh): A 30-year-old woman reportedly died after allegedly consuming an anti-hair loss shampoo at her residence in Madhya Pradesh's Katni on Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Madhav Nagar police station, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
Ingestion of Anti-Hairfall shampoo
According to reports, there was no one else at the home of Roshni Singh (wife of Kripal Singh), a 30-year-old resident of Mansarovar Colony, on Tuesday evening.
When her husband returned home that night, he found the woman lying unconscious in the room, with an open bottle of anti-hair loss shampoo lying nearby, leading to suspicion that she may have ingested the substance.
PM reports to uncover truth
Her family members immediately rushed her to the District Hospital at 10:00 PM. Unfortunately, despite all the medical efforts, she died while undergoing treatment.
Following the incident, police officials were informed, and the Station In-charge of the Kotwali police station arrived at the District Hospital to assess the situation and gather initial details about the incident. Additionally, the body was placed in the mortuary.
Post-mortem examination in the presence
A post-mortem examination is being conducted in the presence of members of her maternal family.
Authorities are examining the incident from all possible angles, including whether the incident was accidental or involved other circumstances. A probe is underway, and statements of family members are being collected to gather evidences.
The Madhav Nagar police have stated that the actual cause of the woman's death will only become clear once the post-mortem report is available.
