MP Lok Sabha Polls 2024 Phase-3: Over 66% Voter Turnout; Rajgarh Tops With 75%

Nine parliamentary seats- Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, Rajgarh and Betul- are undergoing polling in the third phase of LS polls on May 7 from 7 am in the state.

Final Voter Turnout

The voter turnout soared to 66.05% in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. Rajgarh continues to be on the top with 75.39%, followed by Vidisha 74.05%, Betul 72.65%, Guna 71.95%, Sagar 65.19%.

Voter turnout remained low at Bhopal 62.29%, Gwalior 61.68%, Morena 58.22% and Bhind 54.87%.

The voter turnout across nine Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh stood at 66.12% till 6pm, informed Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan.

The voter turnout soared to 62.28% till 5pm in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. Rajgarh continues to be on the top with 72.08%, followed by Vidisha 69.20%, Guna 68.93%, Betul 67.97%, Sagar 61.70%.

Voter turnput remained low at Bhopal 58.42%, Gwalior 57.86%, Morena 55.25% and Bhind 50.96%.

The voter turnout jumped to 54.09% till 3pmin Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. Rajgarh maintained its lead with 63.69%, followed by Guna 60.13%, Vidisha 59.87%, Betul 59.63%, Sagar 53.08%, Bhopal 50.16%, Gwalior 49.06%, Morena 48.23% and Bhind 44.18%.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh recorded 30.21 per cent voter turnout trend till 11 am in the third phase of polling for nine parliamentary seats in the state, according to the data released by the Election Commission of India.

Nine parliamentary seats- Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, Rajgarh and Betul- are undergoing polling in the third phase of LS polls on May 7 from 7 am in the state.

Of these, Rajgarh is leading the voter turnout charts with 34.81 per cent voting followed by Guna 34.53 per cent, Betul 32.65 per cent, Vidisha 32.64 per cent, Sagar 30.31 per cent, Bhopal 27.46 per cent, Gwalior 28.55 per cent, Morena 26.62 per cent and Bhind 25.46 per cent till 11 am so far in the state.

Earlier in the second phase of voting on April 26, the state recorded 13.82 percent voting till 9 am and the final voter turnout stood at 58.59 per cent in the second phase of polling in the state.

Meanwhile, women in Vidisha parliamentary constituency were seen arriving in large numbers to vote along with singing folk songs in the festival of democracy.

MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav appealed to the public to exercise their franchise in the third phase of polling saying voting is our constitutional right.

CM Yadav told ANI, "Today, there is polling for nine Lok Sabha seats going on in the state and I appeal to all voters to cast their vote in large numbers. Voting is our constitutional right and it strengthens democracy. Madhya Pradesh is a land of peace. All arrangements are in place, voting is going on peacefully." Lok Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh are being conducted in four phases. The first phase of polling was held on April 19 and the second phase was concluded on April 26.

The fourth, which is the last phase of LS polls in the state, will be held on May 13. The counting of votes will be held on June 4.

With 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, Madhya Pradesh ranks sixth among all states in terms of its representation in the Lower House. Of these, 10 seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, while the remaining 19 are unreserved.
