BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that as far as infection is concerned, there is no district in red zone.
Positivity rate in every district is below 5%, and the coronavirus is on the wane, he said, adding that all efforts are being made to free the state from Covid-19.
He said that all in charge ministers and officers should be pay attention to the unlocking process in their districts and ensure the implementation of corona protocols.
The work of Covid-19 Safety Team, set up by the in charge minister of Bhopal has done micro monitoring to ensure that the people follow corona protocols, is an example in itself, the Chief Minister said.
Other districts should follow it, he said. He made the statement at a video conferencing from Mantralay on Wednesday. He monitored the situation arising out of the corona pandemic in the state.
Chief secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and additional chief secretary of health Mohd Suleman were present at the meeting.
The weekly positivity rate in 30 districts is less than 1%. In 22 districts, it is between 1% and 5%, and, in 52 districts, it is below 5%.
Nevertheless, more than 20 new cases have been reported from Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur.
There are 287 cases in Indore, 183 in Bhopal, 71 in Jabalpur, 17 in Gwalior and 16 in Ratlam.
The weekly positivity rate in Indore is 4.9%, in Bhopal 3.8%, in Jabalpur 1.8%, in Gwalior 1.8% and in Ratlam 2.1%.
319 shops shut for not following corona protocols
Minister Vishwash Sarang gave a presentation of the work being done by the 'Covid-19 Safety Team'. According to the presentation, 9, 150 shops have been reopened. Out of 9, 159 shops, 8, 632 are following corona protocols, but 319 shops have been shut for not following the covid-19 behaviour. A sum of Rs 65,500 has been imposed on 208 shopkeepers for not following the norms.
