Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Thieves swept away cash from two entities in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal in a single day, the officials reported on Friday.
According to information, the incidents occurred in Bhopal’s MP Nagar area in the wee hours of Friday morning, between 4 am and 5 am.

The first robbery took place at the Indian Coffee House near the board office, where thieves stole nearly ₹60k in cash. They also cut the CCTV cameras at the café.
As soon as informed, a team of police reached the spot. Preliminary investigation indicated that the thieves cut the cables of the CCTV cameras installed in the premises before committing the crime.
The cameras could not capture the thieves and the cash drawer was completely empty.
Police have taken the matter into cognizance and launched an investigation to identify the culprits and arrest them.

Tailor shop
The second theft happened at a nearby tailor shop, where around ₹20k was taken away.

The matter came to the fore when the shopkeeper opened the shop the next morning. As the shop owner found the cash box swiped out, they immediately informed the police.
At present, police are reviewing the tailor shop’s CCTV footage to trace the culprits.
