Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Raising an objection on his wife for working at a garments shop, a man attempted to kill her employer when she refused to listen to him. The accused stabbed the shop owner multiple times on Wednesday evening and fled.
The man’s wife also received injuries in an attempt to rescue him. An FIR has been registered and efforts were underway to arrest the accused, police said.
According to reports, Nishatpura resident Swati Baghel’s husband Ramraj Baghel is addicted to alcohol which resulted in domestic scuffle and financial crisis at their home. Swati started working as a saleswoman at a garments shop of Ashok Kumar Shakya at Brij Colony in Karond. However, Ramraj objected to his wife’s job at the shop and the couple had a scuffle over the issue a week back. Ramraj threatened that he will kill her employer if she continues working at the shop.
On Wednesday evening, Brij Kumar was at the shop when Ramraj suddenly attacked him. Ramraj stabbed him in the neck and chest. Swati also received injuries in hand when she tried to rescue her employer. Panic prevailed at the market following the incident. Police and FSL team carried out investigation at the shop on Thursday and also scanned CCTV footages. ASI Prem Narayan at Nishatpura police station said the accused hails from Vidisha and a team has been sent there to trace and arrest him.
