The income-tax raids on confidants of Chief Minister Kamal Nath may affect the election preparations of Congress party. Kamal Nath, on the lines of assembly polls, had left several works related to Lok Sabha elections on his advisor RK Miglani and OSD Praveen Kakkad.  The action of I-T department against them may affect those works. Miglani used to keep all documents of Nath and the raids may affect several works related to election preparations of Nath.

Miglani had been overseeing the works of election management in Chhindwara for a long time. Nakul Nath is contesting from Chhindwara this time while Kamal Nath is contesting assembly elections. The impact of raids would reflect on the election management of Nath.  Kakkad was holding the reins of war room of Congress during assembly polls. Kakkar’s team was also working for Lok Sabha elections.

They both have to give replies to I-T sleuths in several matters. It is sure that their maximum time would now be spent in interrogations by I-T sleuths. The I-T sleuths had also raided Nath’s nephew Ratul Puri and his associates. The raids have severely affected personal team made by Nath for elections.
