BHOPAL: Bhopal witnessed light shower with dusty winds on Friday even as dark clouds loomed over the city. The officials of Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Bhopal, however, termed it as pre-monsoon activity.
The maximum temperature recorded in Bhopal on Friday was 40.6 degree C while the minimum was 26.3 degrees. The highest temperature recorded in the state was 43.7*C in Khajuraho. Speaking on the light showers in the city, IMD, Bhopal director Anupam Kashyapi said these light showers along with dirt winds were part of the pre-monsoon activities which touched the state about five days ago.
“The pre-monsoon activities comprising light showers with dirt winds and storms would continue till May 15. What happened today will continue to happen after every two or three days. After May 16, there would be rainfall in the city and then state,” said Kashyapi.
