Vigyan Manthan Yatra begins from October 15
BHOPAL: The 10th Vigyan Manthan Yatra would begin from October 15. As many as 626 meritorious students from across the state have been selected to participate in it under Madhya Pradesh Mission Excellence programme.
The main objective of the Yatra is to identify meritorious students and promote interest in science subjects. This time too, students from classes 8 to 12 have been selected. The students participating in the Yatra will be getting a chance to visit science laboratories and research institutes besides interacting with scientists. They would be accompanied by 55 teachers along with officials. So far, more than 5000 students have benefited from this initiative.
The selected students will visit different places. The students of class 12 will leave for Chandigarh on October 15 while the students of class 10 will leave for Ahmedabad on the same day. The students of class 11 will go to Pune on October 16 while the students of class 9 will leave for Lucknow on this day. The students of class 8 will visit Indore, Peethampur and Ujjain.
Prior to the Yatra, an orientation programme will be held at Vigyan Bhawan. The Yatra would conclude on October 23.
