Eastman Auto and Power Ltd (EAPL), a key player in India’s energy storage sector, has entered into a strategic partnership with MTOW Mobility Private Limited (Urja Mobility), a leading battery leasing provider for electric three-wheelers. The two companies have signed an MoU to develop and deploy advanced lithium-ion battery technology for India’s EV sector.

Under this agreement, Urja Mobility will source over 20,000 lithium-ion batteries from Eastman to support its nationwide battery leasing operations. Additionally, Eastman will integrate Urja Mobility’s IoT and software solutions into its battery systems, enabling real-time monitoring and data analytics to enhance efficiency and performance.

This partnership is expected to drive innovation in India’s EV sector while supporting the country’s push for sustainable mobility. By combining Eastman’s expertise in lithium-ion battery technology with Urja Mobility’s battery leasing solutions for electric three-wheelers, the collaboration aims to enhance efficiency and accessibility in the market. As a leading player in the e-rickshaw battery segment, Eastman’s strengthened presence in lithium-ion technology will further solidify its position in the growing electric three-wheeler industry, offering consumers more reliable and eco-friendly transportation solutions.
