Mumbai and Pune Police department is known for sharing creative posts on their Instagram and Twitter feed. Although, this time Assam police has taken up a mission to let us know about online scammers. The police department decided to use Baba Sehgal's video to convey the information.
In the latest public service announcement (PSA), Sehgal can be seen rapping as a response when someone asks for the one-time password (OTP).
“Scammers ko kardo tum confuse; OTP share karne se kar do refuse,” Assam police wrote with a hashtag. It further read, “#ThinkBeforeYouShare" and also tagged the rapper.
Senior PS officer Hardi Singh wrote, "Rap hai ya phir koi rhyme hai! OTP dene se hota cyber crime hai!! (It is either rap or a rhyme! giving OTP is cyber crime)".
One Twitter user wrote, "What i learnt from the incident is, we need to create enough employment opportunity for the youth & provide counselling to prevent them getting derailed from life & take bad decisions. Professional skill development programs has a vital role to play".
