Celebrating wedding anniversaries are common, but how about partying and screaming out loud on your divorce day? She celebrated the occasion with a Coke Studio beat, which she called "perfect" for the moment.

“Did @coke_studio @sabrisistersofficial @rizzyrozeo mean to drop the ultimate #desi divorced-woman anthem? Maybe not—but I’m vibing to this song at every shaadi and dholki”, she said in her now-viral Instagram post. The text overlaid on her dance video termed the ‘Maghron La’ song perfect for a divorce celebration: “POV: You found the perfect song to dance to as a recently divorced Pakistani, mother of three”.

"We act like divorce is a dirty word"

While her dance video went viral, the post reflected how the Pakistani community sees divorce. She threw light on how people in the country carry a stigma around broken marriages.

She pointed out that divorce is treated like a "death sentence" in the Pakistani community, especially for women. "We act like “divorce” is a dirty word...Yes, it’s hard & heartbreaking", she wrote.

Happily divorced

However, Azima told netizens she's happily divorced. " I dance through it. I laugh through it. Life isn’t as bad as I was told it would be. The opposite actually", she posted.

The woman captioned her post: "Two years post-divorce, I’m living proof—you can simultaneously cry, heal, and then DANCE like nobody’s watching (except, like…all of Instagram)".

She shared a deep message for all the women who are in a toxic marriage. “Marriage should be built on love and respect, not fear of stigma. I see too many Pakistani women sacrificing themselves just to avoid that “divorced” label. To them, I say: Your happiness matters”, she wrote noting that happiness is all what matters and “life goes on”.
