Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), March 18: In a shocking incident, a woman climbed a high tension electricity tower in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. The woman tried to commit suicide after climbing the electricity tower. However, a brave police officer climbed the tower and saved the woman by putting his own life in danger. The high-voltage drama was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media.

As per reports, the woman took the extreme step after a quarrel with her husband in Chhathara village which falls under the Lalapur Police Station area. The cop has been identified as Police Constable Rahul Singh. Social media users and senior police officers are praising the constable for his courage and effort to save the woman.

The woman climbed the tower after a fight with her husband. The video shows that the woman climbed quite high on the tower. The police constable is seen climbing the tower to save the woman. After a long struggle, he reaches the woman standing on the tower.

Other police personnel and villagers are seen in the video holding a safety net under the tower to catch the woman and the constable if they fall from the tower. The police constable rescued the woman with help of a rope provided by the other police officers who were waiting on the ground.

After a long struggle, the woman was finally brought down safely from the tower. The internet users showered praise for the constable. One of the users jokingly said, "Pehle khambe par Veeru chadta tha, ab khambe par Basanti chadne lagi?" (Earlier, it was Veeru who used to climb poles in movies; now it seems Basanti has started a new trend).
