At first, the person was surprised, but soon he decided to take the ride in her vehicle.
The Reddit user spoke to the woman during their ride. They shared what drew her to ride the vehicle on the streets of the national capital.
Meet Neelam, Delhi's female auto driver
The social media post narrated the challenges the woman faced in her life. She told the passenger about how her in-laws and her husband troubled her, forcing her to fight. She told them that she turned into an auto driver to be financially sound and secure a better future for her daughter.
The Reddit post noted the passenger's initial and hesitant reaction about getting into the female rickshaw driver's vehicle, followed by discovering her story behind becoming an auto driver.
"For a moment, I hesitated. A female auto driver? Rare. Unexpected. But something about her felt different, strong, safe. So, I walked toward her and got in", the post read.
The female auto driver was identified as Neelam, who drove the three-wheeler to earn a living and build a better future for her girl.

The post claimed the woman faced struggles in her married life, which demanded her to fight and stand up on her own feet.
"As we drove, I couldn’t help but ask, “What made you choose this?” She smiled, a smile that carried both pain and power. “I had no choice. My in-laws tried to break me, my husband tried to silence me. But I decided to fight back. Now every ride she takes isn’t just about reaching a destination. It’s about proving a point, reclaiming her life, and building a better future for her daughter, one where fear has no place", the post said.
