Mumbai experienced heavy rainfall on Monday morning as the monsoon made its presence felt, causing waterlogging in several areas and slowing down traffic across the city. While commuters struggled through the downpour, office-goers and creators faced another issue—Canva, the popular graphic design platform, went down unexpectedly.
After a relaxed weekend, many don't really feel like going to work on Monday. On May 26, the usual Monday blues were made worse by heavy rains in Mumbai and a sudden Canva outage, doubling the frustration for professionals across the city. For many, it felt like the universe was asking Mumbaikars to turn off their laptops and enjoy the weather with a good hot tea and monsoon snacks.
Taking to X, a few X users expressed that the universe was probably offering an excuse to citizens to pause and breathe.
“Mumbai Rains plus Canva Down. Universe is telling to take a break!” posted Harshit Joshi. Another user, Harish A Krishnan, echoed the sentiment: “Mumbai Down. Canva Down. How are Agencies still working?”
The weather and tech issues sparked a wave of memes and reactions on social media where "Mumbai rains" and “Canva down” quickly began trending.
Many users took to the platform to share their experiences, with GIFs from 'SpongeBob' and 'The Office' capturing the chaotic Monday vibe.
