A viral video showed an elephant attacking a JCB machine after allegedly being provoked or teased in North Bengal's Jalpaiguri. The incident took place on February 1 when a person reportedly chased the wild tusker and accelerated his vehicle on the muddy ground. The actions disturbed the animal and made it furious, leading to the counter-attack. The footage showed the elephant lifting the JCB with its trunk.

The accused had been arrested by the local police in Malbazar, West Bengal on charges of provoking the animal and attacking it with the machine, The Hindu reported.
The clip opened by showing the construction vehicle raising its excavator basket and allegedly triggering the elephant in the premises. Later, the jumbo charged at the machine by lifting it in its trunk. The dramatic visuals captured a few feared locals running away after seeing the elephant's wrath.
Local media informed people that the elephant was in during the incident. The animal was hurt on its forehead and trunk, but the miscreants didn't suffer any injuries.
