Bharatiya Janata Party’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra has once again made it to the headlines due to a TV debate.
In News18 India’s debate show ‘Aar-Paar’, Congress spokesperson Mukesh Sharma called the BJP spokesperson ‘Gutter Patra’ which resulted into Patra boycotting the debate. The video of the incident went viral on Twitter causing a lot of furore.
During a debate about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the country on Monday, Sambit Patra said that Rahul Gandhi's friends have made him a ‘Tithari Chidiya’.
Upon hearing this, Sharma got furious and said, "I brief to Gutter Patra Ji that Rahul Gandhi Ji is the leader of this country. The foundation of your Prime Minister is attached to the name of Rahul Gandhi. So you must apologize."
Amish Devgan, the anchor of the debate, silenced both the spokespersons and said, "Look Mukesh ji, you are also a respected leader of a party and he is the national spokesperson of the ruling party. Calling someone ‘gutter Patra’ doesn’t suit you. Maintain the dignity of the language."
However, the debate got much more heated and eventually Patra boycotted the show.

A few days ago, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate had called Patra "naali ka keeda" on a live TV debate.
The news has now gone viral on Twitter. While many are criticising the Congress spokesperson for using such language others are blaming Patra for using such words during his previous debates.
