Azamgarh, UP: A disabled man identified by his name Ashok, reached the DM office in Azamgarh while crawling and carrying his handicapped wife on his back. The disabled person reached was seen crawling on his knees on the burning floor. In his unique way of protest he pleaded for a pathway to his home. The video is gaining widespread attention on social media.
The disabled person is a resident of Kunji village of Jahanaganj police station area of Azamgarh. He had reached DM office with his wife with a plea that there is no road to reach his house in the village. During the conversation, Ashok told that there is no way to reach his house in the village. There is no arrangement of way to reach the door of his house. In such a situation, there is a lot of problem in reaching home especially in the rainy season. One has to go through mud to reach home.

The man says that the land consolidation work is going on. If a path is made to reach the house during this time, then the disabled person can travel with the help of a bicycle. Right now, he and his wife have a lot of trouble going anywhere. However, this is not the first time he has appealed to the government office regarding the road. Earlier also he had reached the DM office with this problem. But, there was no response.
Officials Opened Up On The Incident:
Following the incident, CRO Sanjeev Ojha said that on the basis of the application it appears that the victim needs a path in front of his house. At present the process of consolidation is going on. If possible, a path will be provided to his house within the rules.
