Lucknow, August 6: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the loss of lives in the late-night incident in Pratapgarh. Due to heavy rainfall, a nearly 100-year-old house collapsed in Mahuli Ward under the Nagar Kotwali area. 6 people lost their lives after being trapped under the debris, while one member of the family sustained injuries. At the time of the incident, all family members were asleep in the same room.
As soon as information about the incident was received, administrative and police officials reached the spot with their teams and began relief and rescue operations.
Those who lost their lives in the accident have been identified as Nitin Srivastava (24), Madhav (2), Rita Srivastava (42), Pramod Srivastava (45), Madhuri (24), and Babu (6 months), all residents of Mahuli. Aman Srivastava sustained injuries in the incident.
The Chief Minister directed the local district administration and the Chief Medical Officer to ensure proper treatment for the injured Aman.

Expressing his condolences over the tragic incident through a post on his social media account 'X,' Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, "The loss of lives in the unfortunate accident in Pratapgarh district is deeply saddening. My heartfelt condolences are with the bereaved families. I pray to Prabhu Shri Ram to grant the departed souls a place at His holy feet and bless the injured with a speedy recovery."
